In 21st century, everyone is well aware with their rights today. However the situation of women is still the same as like before. They are still living with the rituals of past centuries where women are teased on the streets and harassed by the men. Developed countries have made it possible to enforce such laws which empowers the women however in underdeveloped countries like India the situation is still the same.

The structure of Indian society has always been male dominant where women are considered as low caste. Eve teasing is a huge issue in many metropolitan cities of India. The traditional mindset often blames the eve teasing incidents on women that they provoke male by wearing scanty clothes however this is just a lame excuse.

A thorough look at the news paper daily shows you so many incidents against woman. Recently an incident happened there where a girl was badly harassed by a boy in street. He was teasing her on the road when she was going back to her home from college. He touched her back and the girl scolded him however the perpetrator in spite of leaving the the spot started beating her on the road and no one raised voice against him.

This needs to be stop as men and women are equal. Women have also the right to live freely in this world and freedom is their birth right. Our society should also support them and government should also take things seriously and make laws for their empowerment.
